Leland D. Miller Jr., age 65, of Brookville, PA, passed away in the comfort of his home and in the loving care of his devoted family, on Friday, December 14, 2018. Leland was born on December 12, 1953, to the late Leland D. Sr., and Alverta G. (Tobias) Miller, in Brookville. He graduated with the class of 1971 from Brookville High School and then enlisted in the United States Airforce working in liquid fuel maintenance. On March 23, 1974, Leland married the love of his life, Donna K. (Pence) Miller in Kellersburg, PA; Donna survives him. When he returned home from the service, he worked as a metal fabricator and foreman for 39 years at George I. Reitz and Sons in Brookville. Leland was an active member with the Goldwing Road Riders Association since 2003, PA Chapter I. He also attended the First Church of God in Brookville, PA. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle on long trips and went many places including Yellowstone National Park, Glacier National Park (2X), the Smokies and Blue Ridge Parkway, New England States and into Canada as well. He loved spending time with his family and being with his friends boating on the Clarion River and on Hartwell Lake in Georgia. When they were younger, Leland also loved supporting and watching his sons in football, track, water-skiing, knee-boarding, and all their other activities. He spent time enjoying personal interests as well such as watching NASCAR and attending the races and watching WWE Wrestling. In addition to his wife Donna, Leland is survived by two sons; Shawn E. Miller of Cheswick, PA; Seth M. (Stacey) Miller of Bellefonte, PA; two sisters; Robin (Bert) Thomas, Cherry (Emmett) Sheets; and two beautiful granddaughters, who Leland adored; Madyson and Camryn. Family and friends will be received on Monday, December 17, 2018, from 2 – 4pm and 6 – 8pm, at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, ltd, 345 Main St., Brookville, PA 15825. A second opportunity for viewing will take place on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, from 10 – 10:45am, at the First Church of God, 201 Freedom Lane, Brookville, PA, 15825. A funeral service will immediately follow the church viewing, beginning at 11:00am, and officiated by Pastor Henry Scoff. Interment will take place at the Mount Tabor Cemetery, Eldred Twp., Jefferson Co., PA. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Clarion Cancer Center, or to In Home Solutions Hospice.
