Margaret A. (Barker) Dennison, age 77, of Reynoldsville, PA, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018, surrounded by her loving family at the Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital in DuBois, PA. She was born on March 7, 1941 in Neodesha, Kansas. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Albertson) Zimmerman. She graduated from the Brookville Area High School with the class of 1960. After graduating, she was the 1960 Laurel Queen for the Laurel Festival in Brookville, PA. On June 1, 1963, she married Robert G. Dennison at the First Presbyterian Church in Reynoldsville, PA. Margaret was a homemaker and also worked as an administrative assistant at the Zimmerman Brothers Lumber in Emerickville, PA. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the First Presbyterian Church located in Reynoldsville, PA. Margaret started sewing and doing seamstress work when her children were little, making alterations to wedding or prom dresses. She was an avid crafter who made ornate birthday cards that took hours and hours. Margaret enjoyed feeding and watching birds. She enjoyed taking road trips to craft shows and any other adventure she could find. She loved her family and they appreciated her matter of fact personality. In addition to her husband, Margaret is survived by three children; Joel P. (Stacy A.) Dennison of Gibsonia, PA, Robin D. (Rick) McMillen of Reynoldsville, PA, and Corey A. Dennison of Reynoldsville, PA; nine grandchildren; Courtney (Kris Parsons) McMillen; Brennan McMillen, Maitland McMillen, Maren Dennison, Emma Dennison, Claire Dennison, Owen Dennison, Haley Dennison, and Abagail Dennison; two great-grandchildren; Rowan and Rory Klender; five siblings; Harry (Sue) Zimmerman, Allan (Carol) Zimmerman, John Zimmerman, Diane Fitzgerald, and Mike Zimmerman; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by one brother, Gary Barker. Family and friends will be received between 1 -2pm on Sunday, December 23, 2018, at the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, 206 E Main St., Reynoldsville, PA 15851. A funeral service will take place on Sunday, December 23, 2018, beginning at 2:00pm, also at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Lakelawn Memorial Park in Winslow Twp., Jefferson Co., PA.
