Theodore “Ted” Adam Sprankle, age 65, of Reynoldsville, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 27, 2018. He was born on March 3, 1953, to the late Elmer Aaron Sr. and Annie (Chase) Sprankle in DuBois, PA. He graduated from Jeff Tech. Ted then worked exclusively in the railroad industry throughout his life operating heavy equipment. He was a member of the John M. Reed Lodge #536 Free and Accepted Masons located in Reynoldsville, PA. He was a member of the Reynoldsville Eagles #540 located in Reynoldsville, PA. Ted was also a member of the Reynoldsville American Legion Post #392. He loved to go hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. Ted loved going to look for and collect antique bottles. He was also an avid dart thrower and pool player. Ted is survived by eight siblings; Howard (Fran) Sprankle of Sebastian, FL, Elizabeth (Chris) Heemer-Hahin of Springfield, IL, Elmer Sprankle Jr. of Reynoldville, PA, Amy (Jack) Baummer of DuBois, PA, Rebecca (Dave) Caylor of Brookville, PA, Annette (Greg) Patton of Reynoldsville, PA, Samuel (Lori) Sprankle of Reynoldsville, PA, and Stanley (Teresa) Sprankle of Raeford NC; his long time friend; Peggy Murone; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousines, and friends. In addition to his parents, Ted is preceded in death by three siblings; John Sprankle, Elsie (Parx) Biggie, and Patricia Rake. A celebration of Ted’s life will be announced at a later date.
