Obituary

Ralph Worling, age 73, of Clarington Sigel Area, passed away unexpectedly of a motorcycle accident in North Carolina, on Monday, June 24, 2019. Ralph was born on September 5, 1945 in Brookville, PA. He was the son of Hannah Elizabeth (Mansfield) Worling and George Worling. Ralph was a 1963 graduate of Brookville Area High School. After graduation he entered into the United State Navy on January 31, 1964. He proudly served our country until April 30, 1968 when he was honorably discharged. Ralph was employed as a mechanic at Owens Illinois for over 30 years. Most recently he worked for the Barnett Township in the maintenance department. Ralph was a member of the Mt. Taber Presbyterian Church, Sigel, PA. He loved to travel, especially on his motorcycle. If he wasn’t riding, you could often find him tinkering in his garage on cars and tractors. He also enjoyed going to local car races and NASCAR races. In his neighborhood Ralph was known for always offering a helping hand. He was a simple man that enjoyed his wings and beer and would do anything for anyone. Ralph was survived by his three children; Devlin (John) Fronczek of Ambridge, Pa; Russ (Verna Mae) Worling of Sigel, PA and Marshall Worling of Altoona, PA and seven grandchildren, Mason, Isaac, Jenna Ciarrochi; Blane and Bailey Worling; Nissa Watterson and Tyler Lenkerd. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Hannah Worling. Memorial contributions can be made in honor of Ralph to the Sigel Fire Department or the Fraternal Order of the Police. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, June 30, 2019 from 1 – 5pm with a memorial service starting at 5 pm at the McKinney – d’Argy funeral Home, ltd. 345 Main St., Brookville, PA 15825. Ralph was a great friend to me for the past 11 years. Loved that man like a father. We sure had some good times and many laughs. Always there to lend a hand, ear, or shoulder. Helped me through the death of my husband 3 years ago. He was such a good and caring man and treated me and my son like gold. He would call me several times a week and ask me questions on how to do things or help him with his computer...lol. All his phone calls always started with "Good evening madam...this is your nightly call from your friendly neighborhood pain in the *ss." So hard to believe I will never hear my phone ring from him again. I am so glad I spent some time with him helping him the night before he left for his trip. I went down and helped him even though it was raining because I loved my old buddy dearly. Rest in peace my dear friend. You are so loved and missed by many. My love and prayers go out to his whole family.

I was shocked and saddened to here the news; he was a great guy, always willing to help! He did many backhoe jobs
for me and was a great backhoe operator. I could tell by watching him that he loved to be on his tractor! My son worked
with him for a while and he would come home and tell me funny stories about Ralph. He said they had a 25 foot extension
cord that was always a tangled mess and only Ralph could untangle it and wrap it correctly! He will be missed by many!!!

I was shocked & sadden when I received the phone call. Although I called him Uncle Ralphie he was my cousin.
I remember our long weekends up at his house and my Aunts camp, Uncle Ralph would always tell me not to be "scared of the bears" , he would help me find toads and then give me cans to sneak them home in! I remember the day he thought me how to whistle with grass like it was yesterday!!! Uncle Ralphie was loved by many and will be missed my so many. Praying for his children and grandchildren and the rest of my family. May he rest easily.

Ralph was always a good neighbor of mine. He always had a kind word or , Hey,,can I help you with that?,, or whatever,,The last I talked to him was about this past May we had a storm & the flag on mom &dads sign @ Shilohs entrance directly across from Ralph’s residence had fallen to the ground. He called here to let us know he picked it up & it was in his barn,,,, God Blessed us with Ralph (a kind Neighbor) & May God Continue to Bless his Family & Friends. We sadly miss a Great neighbor ,,but Pray for peace with his family @ this time.
